About Crossroads Story Center

Crossroads Story Center Inc. is a not-for-profit for using story, music and art to reach at-risk youth. It was founded in 1997, obtaining its 501c3 in 2001. We believe that young people are our near future. They need to be heard, supported and mentored through positive opportunities.

The programs offered by CSC teach and reach youth by addressing issues that directly influence them. Programs are presented by qualified experienced staff who believe in empowering young people through choice.

CSC has delivered its principles at teaching, youth and storytelling conferences and festivals throughout the United States, Canada and in Dublin Ireland in 2004. We have mentored youth one on one and in groups sessions at shelters and other agencies throughout Western New York since 1997. We have also worked with women and their children in transitional housing setting as well as through domestic abuse agencies.

Crossroads Story Center is founded on the idea that we have a responsibility to train others in the use of story as a healing tool, to help families build personal and community identity, to strengthen the use of imagination and help unfold the possibilities that we believe everyone can achieve through sound mentorship.
