The Starlight Storytellers
I am
honored and privileged to be working with the artists at
Starlight. Not only are they humorous but they are kind and
eager. My work with them has helped me to grow in my own
work.
We
began working on stories and learning about storytelling
just after Christmas in 2007. Over the eight weeks, the
storytellers have learned to hone their skills and improve
their stories. All the tellers chose their own stories to
tell and have supported and critiqued each other throughout
the process. Our final session will be a performance on May
9th. It has been a remarkable and wonderful journey. I have
watched the artists grow from an enthusiastic group of apprentices
to what I would consider journeymen in this art form. They
are ready for public performance. Although each has one
story, as a troupe they can and will present a well rounded
program.

hosting visiting artists is an integral part of the
Starlight program.
